The School of Pharmacyis a science and engineering college that cultivates applied professional and technical talents. It has the Henan Modern Bio-medicine Industry College, the Huang Da’nianstyle Pharmaceutical EngineeringTeachingTeam in HenanProvincialUniversities. The Bio-medicine discipline is a key discipline in Henan and a provincial-level "Master of Professional Degree Cultivation Point".
I. Teaching Staff Theschoolcurrently has 51 faculty members, including 40 full-time teachers, among whom there are 6 professors, 16 associate professors, and 21 teachers with a doctorate degree. Among the full - time teachers, there is 1 National Excellent Teacher, 2 Henan Provincial Academic and Technical Leaders, 3 Henan Provincial Excellent Teachers, 4 Academic and TechnicalPioneers of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, 3 Young Backbone Teachers in Henan Province, and 2 Academic and TechnicalPioneers in Xinxiang City. II. Teaching Resources Theschoolhas complete experimental and training conditions. It has more than 60 basic laboratories, professional laboratories, and scientific research laboratories, over 1,800 sets of instruments and equipment, with a total value of more than 60 million yuan and an area of more than 2,500 square meters. It has a GMP training center, which includes 3 training platforms for solid-drug preparations, natural-drug extraction, and chemical-drug synthesis, with a total investment of 5.7 million yuan and an area of 1,500 square meters. It also has more than 30 sets of large-scale scientific research instruments such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, high-resolution mass spectrometers, transmission electron microscopes, and freezing centrifuges, which can ensure that teachers and students can carry out various experiments and training, and conduct innovation and entrepreneurship project research. Student Development Theschoolhas 15 stable practice bases, among which Xinxiang Tuoxin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Hualan Biological Engineering Inc., and Henan Yuchen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. have won the title of Henan Provincial Off-campus Practice Teaching Bases for College Students. Nearly a thousand students from theschoolhave been admitted to well-known universities such as China Pharmaceutical University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Hebei Medical University, Jiangnan University, and Zhengzhou University. The average postgraduate entrance examination rate is above 30%, and the postgraduate entrance examination rate of the Pharmaceutical Engineering major reaches above 50%. The employment rate of graduates remains above 98%, and a large number of high-quality applied talents have been cultivated for society. Theschoolactively organizes subject-related professional competitions to guide students' all-round development and has constructed a multi-disciplinary collaborative teaching model guided by competitions. Students have won more than 20 awards in national-level competitions such as the National College Students Pharmaceutical Engineering Design Competition, the National College Students Life Science Competition, and provincial-level and above "Challenge Cup", "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Among them, they won the Bronze Award and the Online Popularity Award in the 12th "Challenge Cup" China College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition National Finals, and the First Prize in the National Finals of the 12th "Tofflon-Sinopharm Engineering Cup" National College Students Pharmaceutical Engineering Design Competition.
VI. Research Achievements The teachers of theschoolhave strong teaching and research capabilities. They have presided over 38 provincial-level online open courses, university-level high-quality resource-sharing courses, and bilingual teaching demonstration courses. Among them, "Physical Chemistry", "Principles of Chemical Engineering", and "Inorganic Chemistry" are "Henan Provincial First-class Undergraduate Courses", "Principles of Chemical Engineering" and "Pharmaceutical Equipment and Process Design" are "Henan Provincial High-quality Online Open Courses", and "Pharmacology", "Drug Analysis", and "Pharmaceutical Technology" are "Model Courses of Curriculum Ideology and Politics in Henan Provincial Undergraduate Universities". They should have certain organizational management, interpersonal communication, and social adaptation abilities, master the basic knowledge, theories, and skills of bio-pharmaceutics, be able to comprehensively use theoretical knowledge and modern technical tools to analyze and solve complex engineering problems in the bio-pharmaceutical field, and be engaged in research and development, engineering design, technological transformation, production management, and technical services of pharmaceutical products in the bio-pharmaceutical and related fields.
