The Summer Seminar on Basic Research of Photocatalysis, jointly organized by the Photocatalysis Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Imaging Science and Xinxiang University, was held in Xinxiang University from August 13thto 16th, 2024. This seminar is also one of the series of academic activities for the 75th anniversary of Xinxiang University.
Wang Xiaojun, President of Xinxiang University, along with experts from China’s top universities, Li Liang, Director of Xinxiang Science and Technology Bureau, Gao Yuehong, General Secretary of the Photocatalysis Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Imaging Science, and Wang Wenzhong, a researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as members of the administration and colleges of the university attended the opening ceremony.
President Wang extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the experts and guests attending the seminar and briefly introduced the basic situation of the university and the achievements in photocatalysis. Xinxiang University is making every effort to strive towards the goal of building a high-level application-oriented university.
Li Liang said in his speech that Xinxiang City is an important industrial base in the Central Plains region and has achieved remarkable results in the development of innovative products and market applications. The holding of this seminar will play an important role in promoting the construction and development of relevant disciplines in Xinxiang University.

The purpose of this seminar is to disseminate advanced concepts and methods in this field, to broaden the horizons of young teachers and students, to stimulate research enthusiasm, to consolidate the research foundation, and to enhance the ability of scientific research and tackling key problems. As a result, it can play an auxiliary role in future scientific research. At the same time, it will surely strongly promote the development of photocatalysis research in our university and play a huge role in promoting the development of materials and chemical engineering disciplines in our university.
