The 2024 3D Printing, Social Manufacturing and Industry-Education Integration Academic Conference, sponsored by the Chinese Association of Automation,co-organized by Xinxiang University and the Preparatory Committee of the 3D Printing and Social Manufacturing Special Committee, was held at Xinxiang University from August 21stto 22nd, 2024. This conference was also one of the series of academic activities for the 75th anniversary of Xinxiang University.
Wang Feiyue, the supervisor of the Chinese Association of Automation, Cao Kesun, the second-level inspector of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Qi Wenhua, the member of the Standing Committee of the Xinxiang Party Committee, Sun Gongqi, Party Secretary of Xinxiang University, Wang Xiaojun, President of Xinxiang University, Xia Xinyan, President of Henan Polytechnic Vocational College, and experts and members from China’s top universities, the Henan 3D Printing Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, as well as themembers ofadministration and colleges of the university attended the opening ceremony.
President Wang Xiaojun introduced the basic situation of Xinxiang University. In recent years, with the support of governments at all levels, the university has focused on the formation of new growth drivers, deepened the integration of industry and education, strengthened modern industrial colleges, optimized the layout of engineering majors, refined characteristic majors such as 3D printing, cultivated various types of talents, and provided guarantees for regional development.
Qi Wenhua introduced the development situation and industrial data of Xinxiang City, emphasized its advantages as an important city in the Central Plains and an industrial base, as well as the advantages of Xinxiang University in the major of additive manufacturing engineering and its platform. Xinxiang City is making full use of these advantages to promote technological breakthroughs and the transformation of scientific research achievements, drive the integration of industry and education and the integration of 3D printing technology and manufacturing, and inject impetus into economic and social development.
Cao Kesun, on behalf of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, congratulated on the convening of the conference and introduced the measures and achievements of the department in promoting the integration of industry and education and the integration of science and education. The department will increase its support for the relevant majors and platform construction of Xinxiang University.
As the chairperson of the conference, Wang Feiyue discussed the development process of professional education and the impact of social and technological changes on education and teaching, affirmed the achievements of the 3D Printing College of Xinxiang University, emphasized the characteristics of interdisciplinary integration of 3D printing, and believed that it should be further reformed to contribute to economic development.
Xia Xinyan, on behalf of the Henan 3D Printing Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and Henan Polytechnic Vocational College, introduced the scientific research achievements and reform practices of the alliance in the past three years since its establishment, pointed out the importance of 3D printing technology and the difficulties it faced, and looked forward to the continuous development and progress of the alliance with this conference as a new starting point.
Xinxiang University signed agreements with Shanghai INTAMSYS Industrial Co., Ltd. and other enterprises at the signing ceremony.
In addition, a plaque-unveiling ceremony for the industry-education integration project was held. Sun Gongqi and Wang Wenbin jointly unveiled the plaque for the 3D Printing Digital Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Center of the Additive Manufacturing Modern Industrial College.
Subsequently, experts gave keynote reports at the conference. Many other expert scholars and enterprise representatives also gave reports at the conference, focusing on the research, promotion and application of 3D printing industry technology in the field of social manufacturing, and deeply discussing and exchanging ideas on the concepts and approaches of new industry-education integration.
