Recently, the Henan Provincial Department of Education released the list of the 2025 Scientific and Technological Innovation Teams and Innovative Talents Support Program. The "Low-Carbon Building Materials" scientific research team, led by Professor Zhao Lei from our university, has been approved for the Scientific and Technological Innovation Team Support Program Project.
The program aims to cultivate and assemble a group of academically talented individuals with innovative capabilities and potential for development, to drive the overall enhancement of teaching staff quality, and to improve the quality of talent cultivation, innovation ability, and the core competitiveness of higher education institutions.
Over the recent years, Xinxiang University has placed significant emphasis on organized scientific research efforts. In 2023, the "Management Measures for the Construction of Scientific and Technological Innovation Teams of Xinxiang University" were further revised. Twenty-eight university-level scientific and technological innovation teams were established by leveraging the advantageous research resources and disciplines of our institution. In 2024, following the management measures, these teams underwent evaluation, and eight outstanding university-level scientific and technological innovation teams were chosen for key support. This initiative has motivated scientific research personnel to engage in organized scientific research activities, creating a cluster force in scientific research.
It has effectively bolstered our university's scientific and technological innovation capabilities, which will foster the development of high-level scientific and technological innovation teams and talents at our university and provide robust support for the approval of master's degree programs.
