Recently, the Henan ProvincialAdministrationof Industry and Information Technology announced the list of innovation platforms for big data development in Henan Province for 2024. Our university's School of Computer and Information Engineering has beenawardedtheProvincial Big Data Industry Integration Innovation Center for Steel Manufacturing, marking the first time our university has been approved as a big data development innovation platform in Henan Province.
In order to thoroughly implement the digital transformation strategy ofHenan, promote the empowerment of data elements in new industrialization, and focus on the "7+28+N" industrial chain cluster,a batch ofbig data development innovation platforms will be established.
The Henan Provincial Big Data Industry Integration Innovation Center for Steel Manufacturing will build a comprehensive data collection system through big data, gathering data from various stages of steel production, including raw material supply, steel-making, rolling, and heat treatment. It will analyze this massive amount of data to identify bottlenecks in the production process, unreasonable process parameter settings, and points of energy waste. Additionally, it will deeply mine data on various quality indicators of steel products to establish quality prediction models. By optimizing production processes and adjusting equipment operating parameters, the center aims to achieve reasonable energy utilization and reduce energy costs.
The Henan Provincial Big Data Industry Integration Innovation Center for Steel Manufacturing will leverage the professional advantages of the School of Computer and Information Engineering to further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, actively assist enterprises in building intelligent systems based on big data andAItechnologies, serve local economic development, and promote the long-term and healthy development of enterprises.
