On December 10, Xinxiang University held the launch ceremony and training session for the 2025 China International College Students Innovation Competition. President Wang Xiaojun and Vice President Zhao Weijie attended the meeting, along with heads of therelevant administration,project leaders and advisors of award-winning projects from the 2024 competition, as well as advisors and student representatives for projects intended to participate in the 2025 competition.
HaoYifei,Director of the Admission and Employment Office,illustratedtheregulations"Management Measures for the China International College Students Innovation Competition at Xinxiang University" and "Implementation Plan for the College Students Innovation Training Program at Xinxiang University". She summarized the 2024 competition and outlined the arrangements for the 2025 competition.
PresidentWang congratulated the faculty and students who won awards in the 2024 competition and put forward three hopes and requirements for the 2025 competition andforinnovation and entrepreneurship work. He pointed out that relevant departments andcolleges should first enhance their awareness and fully recognize the importance of organizing the competition well. Second, they should ensure implementation, promote innovation and entrepreneurship work to a new level.Third, they should set clear goals tocultivatea newgenerationof young students who are daring and innovative, encouraging all students to actively engage in innovation and creation.
Vice PresidentZhao emphasized that organizing a successful innovation competition should focus on firmly implementing talent cultivation goals, enhancing students' innovation capabilities, aiming for career developmentobjectives, improving the level andoutcomesof the competition, and highlighting distinctive development achievements.
After the launch ceremony, the first training session for this year's competition was held. Wang Chao, a specially invited innovation and entrepreneurship mentor at our university andDeputyDirector of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management Service Center of the Henan Higher Education Society, conducted a specialized training on competition organization and project selection.
