From November 21 to 23, 2025, the 3rd National International Chinese Language Education Teaching Skills Competition, hosted by the Shaanxi International Chinese Language Education Research Association and Xi'an International Studies University, came to a successful conclusion.Students fromtheuniversityperformed excellently in the competition and finally won the national Excellence Award. This is the first time that students from our university's Chinese International Education major have participated in this competition.
The 3rd National International Chinese Language Education Teaching Skills Competition is a highly authoritative event in the field of international Chinese language education. The competition focuses on the practical ability of international Chinese language education and teaching, with the core goal of strengthening students' practical skills in international Chinese teaching and cross-cultural communication literacy, and helping to steadily improve the quality of talent training in the Chinese International Education major. At the opening ceremony, Wu Yaowu, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Xi'an International Studies University, and Jia Pingwa, Chairman of the Shaanxi Writers Association and renowned writer, delivered speeches respectively. The competition attracted nearly 500 undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students from universities across the country to participate.
The School of Humanities has always focused on cultivating students' practical abilities and cross-cultural literacy. The honors obtained in this competition are a concrete manifestation of the college's continuous efforts to improve the quality of talent training in the Chinese International Education major and practice the "theory + practice" dual-track training model. In the future, the college will take this competition as an opportunity to continuously deepen education and teaching reforms, improve talent training programs, innovate practical teaching methods, and strive to cultivate more international Chinese education talents with both international perspectives and solid professional skills, so as to contribute to promoting the international spread of Chinese and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
